EXAM SUCCESS!
Fraser Norris, an employee at Fylde Office Service Bureau Ltd for over two years has celebrated a Distinction in his recent Personal Taxation exams – one of only 19 distinctions in the recent exams run by the Association of Taxation Technicians. Fraser, aged 28, lives in
Preston
and was examined along with staff from many of the major accountants in the country such as Grant Thornton, Deloitte and Baker Tilly so was very proud to achieve such a high standard.
David Parry, the company’s director, said that “I am thrilled for Fraser as he has been a tremendous asset to the company since joining and this demonstrates that we can provide staff with the technical knowledge and ability in a provincial setting to compete with the large practices in the major towns and cities”.

Exciting news from Fylde Office Service Bureau, Mark Selby and myself (new recruitment consultant) Lisa Greenhalgh are taking part in this
year's Blackpool 10k Fun Run. Neither myself or Mark have ever taken part in an event of this kind before, and neither of us have any previous
training. We want a challenge and we want to help support our local charities, and we want YOUR SUPPORT!
We want you to get involved so we can run as a FOSB team.
It is on Sunday the 9th of May, you can get any of your friends that might be interested in taking part to join with us too! The more the merrier!!!

New Lancaster Branch Now Open
Fylde Office Service Bureau are please to announce the opening of a new branch in White Cross, Lancaster.
Senior Consultant Kirsty Wells has moved over from the Lytham St Annes office to act as Recruitment Manager and a new consultant,
Laura Blakeley has been appointed.
Although the office will still be specialising in Administrative and Secretarial roles they are also keen to branch out into other industries
such as Hospitality, Retail, Sales and Customer Service.

Referral Scheme
We are introducing a referral scheme starting from the 2nd of November 2009.
If you recommend a new candidate to us and we successfully place them in a temporary position that lasts for 4 weeks or more you will
be entitled to claim a £10 gift voucher.
To be eligible the candidate must not have been registered with us previously.
Vouchers will be issued after the candidate has completed either 4 consecutive weeks of work or the part time equivalent of 150 hours.

Exam Success
Congratulations to FOSB Recruitment Consultant Kirsty Wells who has gained the highest mark in the country in the Certificate in
Recruitment Practice. Kirsty will be attending a prestigious industry awards ceremony in London in November where her achievement

Holiday Allowance
As of the 1st of April 2009 the amount of holiday that can be accrued will go from 24 to 28 days per year as per the Working Time Directive.

We are receiving more requests within the NHS for candidates to have CRB Disclosures. If you are looking for work and have a recent CRB
or are interested in obtaining one please do not hesitate to contact us. Also, if you are already registered with us, please let us know that
you have one as this may increase your opportunities for work.

Timesheets
Please could we remind all our temps to submit the 2 hard copies of their timesheets (white and pink) to the office each Monday for payroll.
We do accept faxed submissions for payment, but these must be supported by providing the above copies also.
